House Island is a 28 acre private island in Casco Bay off the coast of Maine.  This private island can accommodate up to 20 guests in Cappy’s Lodge ( view the Vrbo listing),  and 12 guests in the historic home, “Christina’s World” (view the Vrbo listing). There used to be a cottage listed as well that housed 8 guests, but I don’t currently see it online. According to the management “Rentals are weekly and include buyout access to the northern half (12 acres) of House Island.”

The historic Fort Scammell is located on the south end of the island across a small isthmus and is managed by a separate entity (Fortland Maine) which will soon be offering camping. So keep in mind you may not technically end up the entire island to yourself.
